- In Quarter 4 2024, the total volume of construction output increased by 0.5% over the quarter, increased by 12.3% over the year and increased by 5.5% on a rolling four quarters basis.
- In Quarter 4 2024, construction output reached a 15 year high following three consecutive quarters of growth.
- In the fourth quarter of 2024, construction output was 18.6% above the pre-pandemic level seen in Quarter 4 2019 and is 74.7% above the series low seen in Quarter 2 2020.
- In Quarter 4 2024, decreases were seen in both New Work (-0.1%) and Repair and Maintenance (-0.1%).
- In Quarter 4 2024, there was a decrease in both Infrastructure (-4.7%) and Other Work (-1.4%) subsector. However, the Housing subsector increased by (5.5%).
